Dr. Nero is a clinical and interventional cardiologist and Director of Cardiovascular Research at Cardiology Associates of Fairfield County.  A  graduate  of Columbia College and The Ohio State University, Dr. Nero did his residency and fellowship at Beth Israel in New York and has been in clinical practice for 20 years.  He is very proud to lead the research team at CAFC which has one of the largest cardiovascular research programs in a private practice setting in the north east.  In addition to general cardiology and coronary intervention, Dr. Nero also specializes in  structural heart disease and sports cardiology.  His research interests are widespread from the interventional to basic science, nutrition and lifestyle medicine.
